Monument of the Immortals is committed to protecting
the privacy of the personal information of supporters,
donors, employees, volunteers and other stakeholders.
We value the trust of those with whom we deal,
and of the public, and recognize that maintaining
this trust requires that we be transparent and
accountable in how we treat the information that
you choose to share with us.
2. Defining "Personal
Information"
Personal
information is any information that can be
used to distinguish, identify, or contact a
specific individual. This information can include
an individual's opinions or beliefs, as well
as facts about, or related to, the individual.
Exceptions may be business contact information
and certain publicly available information,
such as names, addresses and telephone numbers
as published in telephone directories or available

the course of our various projects and activities,
including delivery and evaluation of programs
and fundraising, we may gather and use personal

information gathered by The Monument of the
Immortals is kept in confidence. Our personnel
are authorized to access personal information

information for the reason(s) for which it
was obtained. Safeguards are in place to
ensure that the information is not disclosed
or shared more widely than is necessary to
achieve the purpose for which it was gathered.
We also take measures to ensure the integrity
of this information is maintained and to
prevent it from being lost or destroyed.
We
collect, use and disclose personal information
only for purposes that a reasonable person
would consider appropriate in light of the
circumstances. We routinely offer individuals
with whom we transact business the opportunity
to opt not to have their information shared
for purposes beyond those for which it is
explicitly collected. You may withdraw your
consent at any time by contacting our Privacy
Officer Director.
We
collect only the IP address of visitors to
our site and we use cookies in limited ways
to better understand how our site is used,
to make sure our information and dynamic content
are served correctly, and to improve the performance
of our site. We do not use cookies to retain
personal information about our users, and we
do not sell information about our traffic patterns.
Aggregated site usage data may be provided
to our sponsors.
On-line
donations are handled through 2Checkout which
maintains an industry standard secure payment
service for credit card transactions. 2Checkout
provides the personal information collected
in the course of a donation to The Monument
of the Immortals.
We
use password protocols and encryption software
to protect personal and other information we
receive through on-line registrations. Our
software is routinely updated to maximize protection
of such information.
6. Updating
of Our Privacy Policy
The
Board of Directors for The Monument of the
Immortals regularly reviews our privacy policies
and may find it necessary on occasion to update
those policies. Our most up-to-date policies
will be posted on our website.
